HI Carl,
We have just spent a week working on the cruise for the R1100RT, and yes the cost will be probably twice what our other cruises cost. We have suspended development due to this at this stage.
If we get enough people (30 to 40 minimum) who are prepared to order and place a deposit (don't know how much yet, probably about $100) we will re-visit the bike to see if it is possible. If we can't do it we would refund the deposit in full. We would not be in a position to have another go at it for a few months due to other projects time commitments.
The cost would probably be in excess of US$700 + 5 or 6 hours to install.
We did not even get the cruise on the bike, because it as so difficult to do. As a result we cannot even supply you with a one off kit. If we got a bike in to make a cruise just for you, it would take about a two weeks to produce a kit for you and the cost would be in excess of US$3000.00. And it would just be a one off sale for us, with no future returns on the time invested, although if you are still interested we would consider it.
You can probably tell by the tone of this note, that the whole exercise was very frustrating with this bike, although at the end of the week I could see ways around the problems, just that they are expensive ways.
Let us know what you think.
Regards,
Frank Guymer.

Hey there,
I recently discovered that you have canceled your plans to release cruise control for the BMW R1100rt. My source tells me that the cost is prohibitive.
Regardless of cost, I would like to obtain this for my 1997 BMW R1100rt (USA). Is there any possibility of custom ordering your product directly.
Regards
